# FoodChaser

> FoodChaser is a free community food app for iPhone and Android, built by ViviScape LLC. It has a photo-first food feed of what the people you follow are eating; Live Finds, a live map of food spots reported by people standing at them and kept on the map only while other people keep confirming them; and Events Near Me, which lists concerts, games, festivals and markets with the food around each venue. Its guide and mascot is Scout, a young-adult red panda.

- Price: free, no subscription. Platforms: iPhone (App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/foodchaser/id6469620831) and Android (Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.viviscape.foodchaser).
- Live Finds rules: a report or confirmation needs a photo and the person within 150 m (checked server-side). A new find lasts 4 hours, +90 minutes per independent confirmation, 12-hour ceiling. Two "Gone" reports close it. A vendor's own check-in or check-out is authoritative and overrides the crowd. Zero vendor check-ins are required for a spot to go live.
- A find moves through four states: Reported, Live, Fading, Closed.
- Alerts go out by neighborhood (about a 5 km area plus its neighbors), not to everyone.
- Scope: food trucks, pop-ups, market stands, storefronts and home kitchens. FoodChaser is not only a food truck app.
- Community members are called "chasers". The name is written "FoodChaser", one word.
- Static pages on foodchaser.app never claim a place is open right now; live open status exists only in the app.
- Vendors: FoodChaser Vendor is a separate free app for trucks, stands, pop-ups and storefronts (App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/foodchaser-vendor/id6471741876; Android: not on Google Play yet). One-tap open/close with a status card per truck, wait-time presets, updates to followers with a notification preview, menu preview. Vendors claim an existing listing (restaurant or chaser-scouted spot) at https://foodchaser.io/claim; only if it isn't listed, sign up at https://portal.foodchaser.io/seller/signup
