What is FoodChaser?
FoodChaser is a free community food app for iPhone and Android. It has a photo-first food feed of what the people you follow are eating, plus Live Finds: a live map of food spots that chasers reported while standing at them, which stays up only as long as other people keep confirming it.
Is FoodChaser free?
Yes. FoodChaser is free on the App Store and Google Play, with no subscription.
How does FoodChaser know a place is open?
A chaser reports it from within 150 meters, with a photo. The find starts with 4 hours on the clock, gains 90 minutes every time another chaser independently confirms it (up to 12 hours), and closes after 2 "Gone" reports. A vendor's own check-in or check-out always overrides the crowd.
Is FoodChaser only for food trucks?
No. It covers anywhere good food turns up: food trucks, pop-ups, market stands, storefronts and home kitchens. A post in the feed doesn't need a place at all.

Scout is FoodChaser's guide: a young-adult red panda and foodie explorer who connects food, places and events into a plan. He shares what chasers are finding, and he never invents a place or claims something is open without current data.
