Where it started

FoodChaser began as a directory of food trucks. It told you what their owners had time to tell you, which, for people who are busy cooking, often wasn’t much. The map went quiet exactly when you needed it.

So FoodChaser 2.0 turned it around. It covers anywhere good food turns up: trucks, pop-ups, stands, storefronts, a plate someone cooked at home. And it hands discovery to the people actually out eating.

What we believe

• Proof over claims. A find needs a photo and someone standing within 150 m. You can’t will a place onto the map with a text box.
• The clock is the feature. A place that was open at noon tells you nothing at seven, so every find expires unless people keep confirming it.
• The crowd, not the counter. A chaser’s sighting carries the same weight as a vendor check-in.
• Everything counts. Trucks, stands, storefronts, home kitchens.
• Vendors still win. An owner’s check-in or check-out overrides the crowd.
