He doesn’t search restaurants. He scouts experiences.

Scout is FoodChaser’s guide: a red panda and foodie explorer who’s always chasing the next great bite. He’s the friend who somehow knows about the taco truck behind the brewery, the food festival on Saturday, and the burger spot two blocks from the concert.

His job is to get you off your phone and into a night worth remembering.

Ask Scout In the works

“Want me to build you a little food chase?”

Ask Scout is a chat and voice guide coming to the app. Tell him what you’re craving and what you’re in the mood for, and he’ll pair food with what’s happening nearby.

Two or three options at most, with the one he’d pick and why
Real travel time, not a radius
Credit where it’s due: finds from chasers are called out as finds from chasers
Honest about what he doesn’t know. He never invents a place, an hour or a menu item

No date yet, so we won’t promise one. The conversation on the right is an example of how he talks.

I want tacos, but I don’t really want to just go eat somewhere.

Now we’re talking. There’s a night market downtown tonight with three taco spots nearby. Want me to build you a little food chase?

Yes.

Start with the birria truck at the north end. Chasers say the consommé is the move. Then elotes two stalls down, and finish at the churro cart before it sells out around 9. About 45 minutes, all walkable.

Build a Chase

Food, plus an event, plus a stop along the way. Two to four stops, in order, with total time and whether it’s walkable.

Scouted

A badge for a place the community discovered. “Scouted by the FoodChaser community.”

Stickers

Found it. Wink. Follow the trail.

Scout’s scent trail is his signature move: a pink dotted trail that drifts from the food to the tip of his nose, and becomes the route line on the map.

About Scout

Who is Scout from FoodChaser?

Scout is FoodChaser's guide and the face of the brand: a young-adult red panda and foodie explorer. He connects food, places, people and events into one plan, built from what chasers are discovering.

Is Scout an AI?

Scout is FoodChaser's guide character, and the planned Ask Scout feature is FoodChaser's AI guide. If you ask, he says so plainly. He only names places, hours and events that come from FoodChaser data, and never claims something is open without current data.

Can I talk to Scout in the app today?

Not yet. Ask Scout, a chat and voice guide in the app, is in the works. FoodChaser hasn't set a date, so we won't promise one.

Why a red panda?

Red pandas follow their noses, and so does Scout. His signature move is the scent trail: a pink dotted trail from the food to his nose that becomes the route line on the map.
